Grabbing Dietrich and a good SP would complete this team pretty well, I think.

i'm not sure I'd want to give up what it takes to get Archer, but I think it would make us the favorite for the division if we did
 
He's having a down year this season, but a good bet on a rebound the rest of the way. He's pretty much pre 2018 RH Matt Adams with good defense. I think our bench needed a boost and Duvall is likely to provide that.

Duvall, I guess is slightly above average vs LHP and slightly below average vs RHP and is a good left fielder. So that makes him more versatile that Preston Tucker who is worthless vs LHP and bad in the field.

That upgrade cost Wisler and Sims. I don’t think anything of Sims and am happy he’s gone, but Wisler I included as hypothetical pitching depth earlier today. Not a valuable player but not nothing.

If a similar package had helped land something more vital I’d have been a little happier. Another reliever, a 3b platoon, etc.

I don’t really see the point of sitting ender for Duvall vs lhp and I don’t see that happening.

I’m not terribly worried about getting a SP right now. I’d rather use our assets to acquire another high leverage reliever. That plus Dietrich/Solarte, and this team is suddenly baller, and most likely with our farm still mostly intact.
 
So far we've added quality pieces in Duvall, Venters and Brach and given up 500K in useless international money, Wisler and replacement players. AA has done a nice job at the deadline improving the team without paying a significant price.

Because I’m trading gold glove defense in center for what figures to be below average cf defense from Acuna.

And I think ender is more like a 20% below average hitter vs left than the 50% he’s shown.

Acuna has looked better in CF, but we’ll see. Besides, I’m sure Ender will be subbed in for defense late game anyway.
