Ferguson....

But they're trained to deal with those situations.

You're correct, they are trained.

And in that situation where it had been established the suspect had already struck the officer and attempted to take his weapon...they are trained to use deadly force to stop the action.

Its amazing what happens when you let due process take its course. There was no way there was enough information to make a judgement ht past few days (there still isn't). I just hope that people realize that being an officer isn't an easy job.

Problem is still he used deadly force. Why couldn't he have tazed or maced the kid. Or physically subdued him? Deadly force is supposed to be the last resort.

Its so easy to use hindsight in situations like this. In a perfect world the officer would have used those alternative options but he didn't. He may have felt he did what was necessary to survive.

Well it hasn't really been established yet what actually happened. We have 2 different accounts. Different witnesses and many more issues are at hand. We have 2 reports involving a fight through the window of the cop car. What the hell was the cop doing with that?

Regardless 2 separate accounts have him shooting someone in the back. That's not appropriate use of deadly force except under severe circumstances.

He may have but again, there are protocols.

yes, but not chasing them down and shooting them when their hands are up.

Officer was correct to shoot while in the car. But if the suspects leaves the area of danger and not armed, you do not shoot many times 30 feet away unless they had a gun as well.

if he was shot in the back, it is murder, if he weren't and rushed the cop, then the cop did what he had to do.

I believe in justice but we have 5 witnesses now and they all say things differently. The autopsy and a polygraph have to be used.

I can agree with you. Its a back and forth over hearsay...nothing has been proven either way...but investigation and evidence is never needed for looting and rioting to take place.

There has also been accounts stating he was "charging" the officer at the time of the shooting.

But in reality...it doesnt matter how the investigation turns out. A lot of people have their minds made up already...and if the investigation provides evidence contrary to the "popular" belief...then it will be dismissed as corruption and lies.

And everybody can riot, loot...and hell maybe kill some people.

And unreliable. We have 2 people saying the officer shot brown in the back. Not good.

which leads to the problem of what I said with jury, they will believe a cop regardless if they lie over witness or witnesses almost all the time, especially if a black is involved. That is the world we live in. I could just walk down the street and mind my own business, but if someone dies by a gunshot, I am assume to be guilty, no weapons nothing and witnesses say the same thing, because I was in the area. Well, they would check my record wich will be nothing, see I have no tats, piercings or jewelry, a great job, I might get lucky, but people that are not affluent as I will not have this chance and I would have to blow a lot of money on a lawyer to prove I am innocent, which royally sucks and suing them is out of the question.

I will piss off a lot of people both white and black, but starting with partial sterilization (with reverse capabilities) of black youths men and women. When you breed just to breed to get more money from the government creates an environment of entitlement. Not many blacks are like me or my brother or some others. I have family members who abuse this. One of them have 8 kids with 5 different dads, 4 of them are in jail. She doesn't care because the government will take care of her and the kids. Her oldest, bless her is going to the University of Illinois, a very difficult school to get in to, but she got the grades and grants to go and she is not proud of her mom, kind of estranged to be exact.

Secondly, like above, better education, better lock down on making them go to school and have black counselors and black "real" role models to help.

Third, jobs, not the menial crap like hotel janitors or fast food burger, make an effort to bring them into the medical, accounting and IT field and not show it as a glamorous white only club. I did it but I came from Air Traffic Controller to computer programmer, not that I dislike my previous field, I just hated doing radar controlling and the FAA dictate where you work and I didn't feel comfortable in that part of the field.

Lastly, our own kind need to foster the upbringing of our yout, like I and njc have often said. We can only talk so much do so much, but competing against the hip hop world and athletics is very very hard, but we only have ourselves to blame. My role models were white to be honest, because I wanted what they have, money and power. I do not see blacks in that position, only Mr. Johnson at BET, Herman Cain when he was at Godfathers. All others who are rich via hip hop, athletics or acting. These are fields that are by chance, not hard work by using your brain and not your physical skills to make a difference.

I agree with this. A grown adult should never walk around with his pants falling of his ass, speaking curse words left and right.

You want to end racial profiling and stereotyping by the police, you end black men and white people being white trash/******s. Same scenario as the Arabs. If They want to end people stereotyping them, they should put a stop to Thier own who become terrorists and give them a bad name.

My mind isn't as no one minds shouldn't until we get a Federal investigation done.

If he rushed the cop and got killed, he got what was coming to him.

If he was shot in the back while running away, the cop should be charged at worst, dismiss from the force at the minimum.

I am an equal opportunity person and I might sound like an ass, but I want justice.

Its amazing what happens when you let due process take its course.

"Blacks comprise 13 percent of the U.S. population, and are consistently documented by the U.S. government to use drugs at similar rates to people of other races. But blacks comprise nearly one-third (31 percent) of those arrested for drug law violations.

Widely adopted in the 1980s and ‘90s, mandatory minimum sentencing laws have contributed greatly to the number of people of color behind bars. A recent study found that prosecutors are twice as likely to pursue a mandatory minimum sentence for blacks as for whites charged with the same offense."

So now two people have said Brown was charging cop. There stories are identical.
