A conundrum you can't really explain. I am black, you are white, you wouldn't understand. Both kinds do not like my kind of blackness, we know our role in society and that could be upsetting to the both of you, just remember that. People like me is a threat to both sides of the aisle. Ask Njc108, she knows who and what I am and it probably scares her and I know it scares white people.

I didn't go overboard, I just defended the decease due to GF and others said he was a thug, robbery and what not.

I already gave you my three theories, two defending the cop and one defending the decease. So do not even go there.

I'm not really sure how to respond to that without more information.

I just know you can't be successful if you decide to forego school and live a life of a "thug" and sadly too many black youths are doing that.

yes they are and it is sad to me as well, but you still treat me, a grad, a good job, a nice family, as a thug.

If I walk down a street, some white people see me as a threat, even though, no record, high paying job, they just assume I am a black and a thug.

Read that last sentence. Over and over. This is how we feel. It does not matter how much we try to change who we are people will see us as such. I been privvy to both races and my wife's family think I am better than slice bread compare to her boyfriend (lazy, didn't do schit). Do you think whites will think of him as that if they saw him, no, they wouldn't.

No, it did not scream anything. Its how you interpreted it. It was clearly meant towards everyone (the Sturgs/Goldflys of the world).

Amazing that you have walked this incredibly difficult path and yet are a successful man. I suppose you are superhuman and others can't do the same? That is my beef with this.

I think even Okie asked if I played football, yes I am not a small person, I am actually big and even in my mid 40's I can still dunk a basketball. I even had Eau Claire Crush football team ask me to play Fullback and was tempted.

The black people I meet at my job are treated absolutely equal to everyone else. Once you make a decision to enter society as a respectable hard working person you will be accepted as such.

There will always be ignorant people who will always be racist. I can't help that. However, there are plenty of others that accept everyone as long as they act like civilized people.

Think about it man, just think.

There are not a lot of whites like you that takes blacks as a grain of salt. Hell, I see three black youths with pants hanging down, tatted up like JR Smith and gold chains, I would avoid them as well as a black. But when you are a single black man in an oxford shirt just minding his own business and you purposely walk on the other side to avoid them, it doesn't correct the problem. I feel like the victim and there is nothing I can do to change it.

I had to work my tail off to even get to that level and make sure I was lay-off proof.

Amazing that you can tell that without knowing what my story was and where I came from. But, you and the majority of the black community can continue to assume that there climb to success is almost impossible to the point where it deters them from even trying.
