Possible, though I doubt he'd be much of a shortstop. But as a back-up in AAA it's not a big deal either way. Besides, they had been starting Greene a lot there before hand and he's pretty bad defensively. So Gosselin may well be an upgrade to Greene at short.

Hehe, if he does okay at it I could see it helping Gosselin get another shot in the Majors too. I mean the more positions he can play the better for him as a bench option down the road should a need arise. Gosselin did play 3 games last year at short, he had three PO and one error.
 
Guess who added me on twitter today? Braves pitcher Ervin Santana. I was surprised as I didn't even make a request nor message him any. Though I have been following him as I do all Braves players on twitter. Anyway I just thought that was pretty cool.

They showed a graphic on MLB Tonight.

Mac- catchers ERA is 4.72

CS%- 25.0

Gattis- catchers ERA is 2.34

CS%- 28.4

So far this year anyway.

Francoeur throws the only scoreless inning for the Chihuahuas today. Hit two batters, but neither scored. Struck out one.

His .197 BA suggests that he is hitting like a pitcher as well.
 
Gattis is going to be better offensively as well moving forward. Never understood the idea of re-signing Mac.

JFYI I think that 28.4 is a typo, Gattis is at 29% or 28.6 according to what I read online. We had a great start last year with Gattis as our starting catcher the first month too. So it's just more of the same only even better pitching from our starters.
