GDT #49 5/25/'14: Rockies (Morales) @ Braves (Teheran) 5:10 PM EST

As an overall player. Cargo, Harper, Choo, Holliday, and Alex Gordon I would rather have over Justin. Gordon is close, but I love his defense.

LOL @ Alex Gordon.
Harper is not better.
Holiday is old and a much, MUCH worse defender.
The Royals would nut if we offered JUp for Gordon.

For a corner outfielder?

I'd like to see a batting average of at least .285, .370 OBP, and a slugging of .460

I would be thrilled with a 30 homer, 90 rbi, and 15 stolen bases season. Ideally I would love plus defense, but let's not kid ourselves here.

How many guys did that last year? I'll wait.
Justin is completely capable of those numbers anyway.

If Harper and Gonzalez were here the whiners would complain day and night about how they're so injury prone and worthless because of it.

Harper and Justin both started their careers at 19. I dislike Harper, but you can't look at their numbers through two seasons at the same ages and come to a conclusion that Upton was or is better currently.

You're reaching dude, and bad. Whatever. Are you talking present or future? Because no team takes Holliday's future over Justin's. Holliday has already seen sharp declines in power, especially this year. Harper is always hurt. He will likely be better if he stays healthy. But Justin's value this year has blown his out of the water. And Alex Gordon is the biggest reach by miles. Dude is 30.

CJ will get on a little streak and end the year with OPS around .770. Not great, but he doesn't need to be. Can't have studs everywhere and he's solid.

Then he'd fit in with the other injury prone corner outfielder. At least Gonzalez would produce.

And then be hurt and not play when it counts, so what's it matter?
Also CarGo is more injury prone than Heyward. Again, appendectomy and ball to face do not = injury prone.

If Justin was fully capable of hitting 30 homers, driving in 90, and stealing 15 why hasn't he? He came damn close in 2011?
