Flailing away, one-handed swings. Nice.
Forgive me if I could care less about how strong our division is. Forgive me if I would rather win a crappy division vs having to play a one game playoff lost by a bogus infield fly rule when having the second best record in the NL. This isn't the SEC. Playing in a good division doesn't prepare you for crap in Baseball. Get in the playoffs and hope we are playing well at that time.
They won't be. What that you have seen the last two months makes you think otherwise?

The fact that the Nationals and Phillies have sucked as bad if not worse than us.
Nationals' clubhouse is in HUGE turmoil right now.
Phillies are injured and old. Don't see us threatening us down the stretch.
I think the point he's trying to make is that we look competitive bc of our division, but we can't offensively compete with the other potential NL playoff teams.

I meant what makes you think we'll be playing well come postseason. This isn't going to change as long as our approaches stay the same. And sorry, we've got a good starting rotation, but not one that can win 1-0 and 2-1 games every night.
This. Excuse me if I don't get excited at winning a piss poor division to once again get our ass handed to us in the postseason because of inconsistent play and the fact that no adjustments were even attempted.

sorry, but our lineup is set. we have to get more production out of the regulars. and, sigifigently, BJ is on the DL and Gattis is playing everyday and we are still stuck in a rut.
Change the batting order, sure, but I doubt if that makes much difference.
Doesn't matter.
We've had top NL offenses before and did ZILCH in terms of offense in the playoffs.
At htis point I just want us to get there then I'll take my chances.
Anybody can get hot in the playoffs. Anybody.
Gonna love going up against Kershaw and Greinke in a best-of-five.
This offense isn't going to stay like this the remaining 50 or so games left this season.
And all the teams below us don't look like they're going to push us. I mean Washington has to sweep us everytime they play us at this point if they want to take the division. And their clubhouse is in huge dismay. We're lucky we have a cool-headed clubhouse with good veteran leadership. The Phillies have a better chance at catching us than Washington, but they're older and less talented.
And look at the Dodgers. Terrible terrible team the first few month of the season. Now they're riding a hot streak. It's not going to stay that hot the rest of the year. They'll fall back down. We can go nowhere but up at this point.
