This is impressive. The talent on this roster means snit doesn’t have to know anything about anything. Which is fortunate because he doesn’t.
This is why I laughed when everyone kept mentioning the "The Braves are 2-10 against the Dodgers in LA since 2018" stat as if this team isn't completely different. This squad isn't good or great; it's truly elite.
Lost in all of this is a huge inning by Tonkin in the 9th. High leverage, and gets Betts.
What's the magic # down to now?
At the risk of us getting blown out tomorrow, this Dodgers team isn't like the ones from the last few years. Their roster doesn't scare me. The Braves have a significant roster advantage.
Whether that means anything in the playoffs is a different question. Who knows what happens in that crapshoot?
It’s just a completely different vibe since since 21. For all years prior it was about how will braves find a way to lose this big game. Now it’s how are the braves going to find a way to pull this one out regardless of score or current inning.
All the “pain” from the late 90s and 2000s are being paid back in full right now.
We'll see. If we win it all this year, I'll agree. Otherwise, it'll have a similar feeling. Having it all come together one postseason and then falling short in all the others.
