Heyman: Freeman expected to miss significant ime

If there is a silver lining, it's that no surgery is being required. That says this is no kind of displaced fracture.

I'll take what I can get at this point. It's good to know that the damage isn't worse. It just sucks for us, because watching him this year has been a joy, and it sucks for him, because he was being recognized as an elite MLB hitter.

Well, it'll be cool to see Rio, anyway.

I'm sure Coppy already informed teams that all vets are available but if there was any doubt there is none now.

Everyone must go!

I didn't weigh in on this last night. I didn't care for it a couple years ago when the Braves played home run/unwritten rule police and I was fine with Bautista's bat flip in the playoff game because it was a huge moment. But he needs to be wearing a fast ball in the lower back tonight. Hitting a solo home run down five and trying to act like a badass in a May game when neither team is going anywhere is a joke.

Freeman says he feels like it wasn't intentional and it makes no sense for Toronto to be trying to pick a fight with us. But there have been way too many hit batsmen over the last three days for it to just be accidental.

As for Pillar, I would either roll the first pitch at his feet or throw it at him under-handed. To make a point that he's a Grade A bush leaguer.

^ I bet you're lily-white.

I'd tell Jose to keep doing it. If they don't like it, let them keep beaning you. OBP would go through the roof.

Eh, not really. What does flipping a bat accomplish when you hit a solo homer down five when your team is underachieving and in last place in the middle of May?

Perspective.

It doesn't matter. He hit the HR and should be able to celebrate as he chooses. Don't like it? Strike him out next time. Pretty simple.

You just don't get it. He wasn't celebrating. He was deliberately trying to show up and disrespect the other team. You can celebrate all you want, but it was clear as day from anyone who saw it last night that's not what that was.

I'm not sure I really believe in retaliation, but I think any reasonable person can understand why players would be upset by that.

He was trying to be a douchepickle. That's completely different from celebrating a meaningless home run. And he has a history. The Braves have a few guys a little bigger than Roughned Odor, too.

Lol. Happens in the NFL on every snap. Get over it.

And who cares if he's trying to 'disrespect' the other team? You don't like it? Don't give up a homer.

Its a bat flip, whether you do that as a sign of disrespect, celebration or both -- you should have that right if you hit a homer.

I've always found this over-sensitive side of baseball nauseating.

No, it doesn't. You must not watch much NFL. People celebrate all of the time, but they don't deliberately disrespect the other team. And you know what happens when they do? People get upset and fights break out.

Okay. So, if some dude comes up to you in the street and starts insulting you and trying to instigate something, what do you do? Maybe you take the high ground and don't respond. But, would it not bother you at least a little bit?

You must be a ****ing robot.

So guys don't do dances when they get meaningless sacks? Please.
