Introductions Are In Order II

Call me Buck. Live in Tennessee. Will be 60 soon. Totally blessed. Been a Braves fan since 1966 when they moved to ATL. Can't compete with Rico but I try to keep up with the Braves minor league prospects. Peace.

Hehe Buck. My fondest memories of you are from the 2005 season and 2006 seasons. 2005 you said midseason the team was done... but thanks to the rookie rebellion we made it to the playoffs. 2006 you were one of Reitsma's biggest haters (as many).

And always, you'd sign off as....

-Buck Sr.

My real name is Chris and I live in Savannah with my wife and 3 kids. Both my wife and I are teachers, Middle School Science for her and Band Director for me (though I'm having to masquerade as an elementary general music teacher right now; I hate our school system). I'm 45 and spent 24 of those years here in Sav. I was born and raised in Rome, GA and, of course, they get a Braves affiliate some 20+ years after I leave. Still catch some A games, though, when I visit the parents. First started paying attention to the Braves with Aaron's chase and really following them in 1976. Living so close to Atlanta made it natural to cheer for those teams. All of my friends and family know that the Braves will always be my first and last team.

Literally no room to talk?

Oh no! Don't call me Buck Sr. That Buck was well ... you know what he posted. Seems like we had at least ten Bucks on Scout.

Well then... this is awkward. And yes there were like 7-8 bucks that I recall. I just thought you all were one person. :Alone:

Welp, my name is Zack Hargrove... used to be MarteFuture (thank God I can finally be rid of that cursed screen name) on Scout and Fanhome before that (I was a member of the board before Fanhome, but I can't remember what it was called for the life of me). In short, I've been a poster/lurker on these boards since about 1998. I'm 32 and have been obsessed with the Braves ever since the 1991 miracle season that I was so excited for as a kid. At various times throughout the board's history, I've been a more active poster than other times. Over the last couple years, I have slowed down quite a bit simply because of being crazy busy with my first born son, Ethan who is now 10 months old... and graduate school

I guess I am most famous for tag-teaming the weather situation with weso... I am a meteorologist by profession. I am currently finishing my Master's in North Dakota in Atmospheric Science and I received my B.S. degree in the same from the University of North Carolina Asheville. I mainly grew up in Alpharetta, Cumming, and Cartersville. I graduated from South Forsyth High School in 1999. I played JV baseball but was really too small to be a quality player. I was also the extremely rare left handed shortstop.

My next step in life is to either continue on for my PhD or work with the National Weather Service, where I have just applied. If I end up with that job, I could be in any of 40+ different locations around the US. I've been married for almost 2 years now to a fantastic woman, Leah... and I am absolutely addicted to chasing tornadoes. In the past 3 years I've witnessed and recorded 15+ tornadoes. Have always enjoyed this community in whatever form is has morphed into! Great idea for a thread!

and GC Braves is knocking the door at 54. Impressive, that you are all computer literate. :Alone:

Helps to have a son who has a computer science degree and is a data analyst/IT guru with Amazon:rock:

I actually do most of my work on a computer so that helps a little too!

Brandon, age 43, married with an 8 yr old son, living in Little Rock, Arkansas.

Became a Braves fan from watching games on WTCG, which the cable system in our podunk south Arkansas town decided to pick up in time for the 1978 baseball season. First game I attended in person was on August 1, 1978 (look that one up if you don't know the significance). Been living and dying with the Braves, and defending the honor of America's Team in the heart of Cardinals country ever since. To this day I have an affinity for red pinstripes.

Another great in-person memory is sitting along the right field line when Hinske went deep against the Giants in the playoffs in 2010.

We went on to lose the next inning, thanks to a ****ty ump and micro-management of the bullpen, but that moment was amazing. Never heard Turner Field so loud.
