We'll get a LH reliever.

Jon Heyman is saying the Rays are talking and willing to trade David Price. Rumor he's mentioning is the Cardinals getting him and the Rays acquiring Oscar Tavares, Shelby Miller, and St. Louis' competitive balance pick. If I'm the Rays, that would be tough to turn down.
DAMN that would a be haul. St. Louis better hope they can re-sign him.
That has Teixeira trade written all over it.
Agreed.
Also, without knowing how they work, why exactly does St. Louis have a "competitive balance" pick?

Was about to say this same thing. It's absurd.
Being a contrarian/troll as an adult is embarrassing and nothing more.
Then again, I don't know if it's worse than actually believing it, thus making one a moron.
It's hard for me to pin Uggla and BJ solely on Wren. This has been discussed ad nauseam, but who could have seen the drastic drop-offs both of them took? BJ was consistent albeit not great. Uggla was consistent. They came here and both promptly **** the bed. Many were weary of the Upton contract and for good reason. But the nosedive he's taken since being here is unreal. He's out of no where completely forgotten how to hit and looks uncomfortable every AB. He'd be a bad deal at $10 million at this point, and a lot of GMs would have given him that.
Only moron expected BJ to actually be worth near what he got paid. He was never a good hitter and anyone who couldn't see a decline from him is a yeezus.

Yeah, hindsight is 20/20 buddy. I'm sure you knew at the time of the signing that he'd be among the worst hitters in baseball. The sad thing is you actually probably believe you did know.
So, all of the GMs in baseball who were looking for a CF that offseason?
Oh yes the Phillies, Nats, and Indians general managers were all craving BJ Upton so hard. Ironic that BJ is the highest paid player of Span, Revere, and Bourn yet hands down he is the worst of the bunch.
They were. They were all about to give him contracts that he still would have vastly underperformed. So, they are all idiots too?
