Harden as a starter (the last 2 years):

Harden is a career 37% 3 point shooter & RW is 30%
 
Harden plays zero defense. I know its close in most peoples eyes but RW is one of the best players in basketball and after having watched both of them everyday for a long period of time I would take RW.

Yes, I am biased obviously towards RW but I have seen more of them than you so I think I have more of a reason to make a claim on something other than a statline.

If RW was the main guy on a team he would have ridiculous aggregate numbers as well.

Again, we went over that. Its very slanted. Houston basically always puts Harden on the worst offensive player. Parsons is their "shut down" guy. While Thabo is the Thunder shut down guy, they don't hide RW in their defensive schemes like Harden is covered.
 
RW isn't a good defender, we have gone over this many times...if you're going to knock Harden and say he plays "ZERO" D then you better knock RW as well.
 
I haven't made the claim in a while that RW is a great defender. He has great on the ball skills but he gambles too often and someones gets caught watching the ball too often. But, Harden is an awful defender. Its not even close.

Thats also because he is the guy there, and takes all the shots.

I'd take Russ over Harden.

But its close.

Mainly for defensive purposes where Harden is awful and Russ is near elite or damn good on defense.

Thats a load of crap.

Lot of national NBA writers are starting to say Harden is a terrible defender or not that good on defense. Even with the Thunder, he wasnt that good of a defender.

Now that hes in the spotlight more now.
 
Harden has taken 16.5 shots per game, over the last 2 years. RW, over that same time, has taken 18.7

If Harden is an awful defender and plays "zero" D and "it's not close" then how was he 2 points better on the D-Per?

Well, for starters the PG position typically is the deepest position in terms of PER stats.

Most importantly, Harden will always be put on the worst offensive wing player because he is a horrid defender.
 
That was not a huge sample size and they beat Miami once in that span.

Its way too early to put them to bed. Garnett and Pierce were supposed to be the 4th/5th options on this team. Without Williams and Lopez that has changed and obviously exposed them. But, when they go back to what they were brought here for then it will be just fine. Its not like they are far back in teh Atlantic Divisional race.

Reports saying Rose has an ACL injury to his right knee.

Career over if so, at least as a starter/star.
