NBA Thread

Ugh, bad day for basketball fans. Guys was absolutely electric two years ago. We will never see the same dynamic player again.

I've never even remotely liked Derrick Rose. Never thought he was a great player either. That being said it does suck for NBA fans though and as much as a I don't like him, I feel bad for Rose. Injuries are awful no matter what player it is.

I guess thats better than an ACL but might not be the same player again...

Shame.

A few weeks into the season what are some things you have noticed?

Most surprising teams (positive) are Dallas and Portland to me. Monta Ellis was a great signing and he's looking like an all star right now. Dalembert is a defensive stud and he's a big help inside as well. Portland had talent last season, but Lopez really adds another dimension for this team. So balanced in their starting five and LeMarcus Aldridge is the most underrated player in the game.

I don't think Dallas is really going to be any threat. Portland however is really talented and they have a big man that can get them easy buckets. Ultimately, I think they are still a year away from being a big time threat but they are really good.

Westbrook gets a night off and the Thunder are still cruising. Oh yeah, they are playing the Jazz.

The second unit has been real strong this year.

Ibaka continues each year to improve. This year he has improved his on the ball defense and is flashing some serviceable post moves. So glad he was the one that was kept.
