He certainly found the zone last night.
It helped tremendously that the ump gave him a Tom Glavine zone, as opposed to the normal one he'd called for both sides for most of the night.

I understand why people would think Newk would be a good BP option considering he has good stuff but I thought the biggest attribute someone has to have is the ability to throw strikes??
Arguably his better form was when he wasn't trying to take a little off for command and was just being wild, as that missed bats. He tried to take a little off for command and lessened his ability to miss bats in the process. The effectively wild pitcher actually can work better out of the bullpen!
