Nats and Phillies delayed. Marlins and Mets PPD. Glad the Braves are on the West Coast. A few double headers this late in the year could really soften up the Phillies, Nats and Mets pitching.

I'm not. They have played essentially like I thought they would in the 2nd half. They are -13 run differential on the season now and are 21-26 in the 2nd half. Their luck ran out.

Anything can happen of course but they aren't a good team.

The Rockies gained a full game on the Dodgers last night which is wonderful for us imo. If them and the Cardinals could somehow hold off the Dodgers and keep them from making the playoffs then October just got a whole lot friendlier to our chances. I think we'd win a 5 game series against Colorado and I think we would have a legitimate shot against the Cubs/Cardinals/Brewers in a 7 game series.

At any rate, this is probably the most fun I've ever had in September. This is the first time in my lifetime that a team I loved had a long stretch of being awful and having to rebuild so the payoff has been extra fun for me.

I like Kapler but he does over-manage sometimes.

I think he is tinkering with using guys in both games by limiting the pitch count to less than ten.
