Second ('Third') Trump Presidency Thread

Well you think I've been introduced to Gaetz int he last week when in fact I've watched a bunch of Gaetz content for years now so spare me your outrage. You still don't understand what needs to happen to fix this country. Expecting people to be saints is not something that is a requirement in my analysis. He paid for women! OMG THE OUTRAGE! How many male friends have you had in your life before? YOu never knew someone who did this? Find that hard to believe.

Gaetz is bright, quick thinking and bold. Exactly what we need right now.

In the last week? I was well aware of Gaetz antics for years now.

And lets not forget him and AOC working closely together and coming together often. I guess you are an AOC supporter afterall.

man i know everyone was looking forward to unanimously rejected HCRs viewpoints on cutting government bloat

quit acting like a twit.
Viewpoint is a laughable term when discussing historians. they write what they see happened or happening.
That is their training.
As experts do.

but I forgot, you and our little friends reject experts or simply people that know what TF they are talking about

This is all based on a ( life long liberal icon) George Will column. Who you and the gang probly also reject
She noted this so you obviously didnt read

Thune is saying all thee right things. Let’s hope it doesn’t end up being like it was in 16.

Some of you still don’t understand.

Now the “leak” is out and the claim is the girl was 17. No claim of non consensual activity. Weak on actual proof. But you guys go ahead and fall for the same schtick again. You’ll just end up looking silly again.

These allegations only exist in the first place because Gaetz repreeented a threat against the establishment for a long time now. He will be a tremendous AG.

So RFK Jr is going to run the HHS. This is awesome! The first step on our journey to back to a 30% infant mortality rate! Gotta get rid of all those vaccines keeping our kids from getting easily prevented childhood illnesses. Winning!

I am on your side on this one. Give the people what they voted for. Dont pussy out now Trump. Give the people what they voted for.

Do you actually believe this would happen? I would love to hear your prediction on where infant mortality will be after RFK is in office.

The people will crave justice. The tipping point for Trump started on the Mar A Lago raid. The people knew it was a bunch of bull****. Those responsible will be held accountable and it’s the road back to bringing respect and trust back to our institutions.

I fully expect the guy who runs an anti-vax organization to continue his campaign against vaccinations as head of the HHS. I doubt he's competent enough to be terribly successful but still.

Ask yourself honestly, if Biden had nominated him for this post, how would you feel? Would you commend Biden on a job well done or would you eviscerate him for nominating an anti-vax nut who has zero qualifications for the job?

As I have a recent history about overuse of vax and I’d consider myself a healthy person in general I fully support any effort to overhaul the industry that control the poison Americans eat everyday.

I’ll just say here your last take on public health measures didn’t end up look in great for you. This will be another example of that and time will show that to be true.

Medicine is improving yet Americans are getting sicker. There is a reason for that and business as usual won’t cut it anymore.

I'm sorry, but if you think this somehow absolves him, then you are more of a bootlicker than anyone you've ever thrown that insult at.

For what it’s worth, I think you’re right about infant mortality, unless the federal government has more control over vaccines than I anticipate it does. My only real worry there is if the government begins promoting drivel like vaccines causing autism or otherwise actively discouraging vaccinations, or if they can block states from requiring them in public schools. But make no mistake, if enough parents skip routine vaccinations, more kids will die as a result.

If I had one real concern with RFK thus far it’s the “liberal” side of him. He’s been posting about processed foods and preservatives, and I think that’s out of touch with why a majority of families choose these options. I know as well as anybody that obesity is in many ways a choice, and there are ways to eat healthy on a budget, but it’s hard and takes a lot of effort that many working families don’t have the patience for, so these processed foods often become essential. If action is taken to force the companies to make food healthier, but more difficult to produce and store for long periods of time, we could have a food affordability crisis. Fortunately I think the Republicans around him will ultimately not support any measures that increase regulation over food production.

This is literally the worst possible scenario and there is effectively no proof.

Yet again, you'll just run with it because you're blind while over time the evidence consistently shows I take the right positions in real time. This will be another example of that and you'll forget about it the next time you call me a 'bootlicker'.

Maybe Jon Stewart helped informed your opinion on this matter. That would actually amke sense to me.

There is a great take that I will try to find on the 10 things that need to be done with the food industry in this country which includes removing subsidies from large companies and return those to smaller farms which will increase variety and reduce overall costs since it will be more localized. Something drastic needs to happen with our food supply because Americans are simply getting to the point where our health care costs will bury us. Its not the boogeyman of 'free healthcare' team coinflip pushses. Its the fact that our citizens NEED so much healthcare because they are poisoning themselves every single day.

Your opinion seems to be directly formed by Gaetz himself, a collection of grifters who bring Gaetz on their shows, and another one of our nation’s worst elected officials in Luna, so this is rich.

I think both sides are drastically overreacting to the RFK selection. He isn't going to change anything.

On one hand, I get that having a nut job, anti-vaxer at the top of the HHS looks bad optically. But he doesn't come with any real power and Trump won't him do anything that would be massively unpopular (like removing vaccine laws). Abolishing the FDA is not something he can do either.

And does anyone know who is the current head of the HHS without googling it? Or any of the past heads of the HHC? Seems more like a figure head position than anything else. Of course, I would generally prefer to have a more qualified, less controversial figure head in place.
