I think both sides are drastically overreacting to the RFK selection. He isn't going to change anything.
On one hand, I get that having a nut job, anti-vaxer at the top of the HHS looks bad optically. But he doesn't come with any real power and Trump won't him do anything that would be massively unpopular (like removing vaccine laws). Abolishing the FDA is not something he can do either.
And does anyone know who is the current head of the HHS without googling it? Or any of the past heads of the HHC? Seems more like a figure head position than anything else. Of course, I would generally prefer to have a more qualified, less controversial figure head in place.
