Just as how conservatives will blame anything but the gun, this tragedy they are blaming everything except the police. Not saying the shooter wouldn't have killed a few, but a few lives may have been saved if not the the policy's cowardice.

Who the **** is not blaming the police?

You need to get out of your bubble

The police were worse than useless here and should face jailtime

“Guns symbolize the power of a minority over the majority, and they’ve become the icons of a party that has become a cult seeking minority power through the stripping away of voting rights and persecution of women, immigrants, Black people, queer people, trans people – all of whom have been targeted by mass shootings in recent years. This is the same party that sought to overturn an election through violence whipped up from on high, by the cult leaders, including the former president and various pundits and demagogues. “Trial by combat,” wheezed Rudy Giuliani as he incited the crowd to rampage through Congress. If guns are icons it’s because violence is a sacrament defended as a right and an identity.”

Police work for the public. Are paid by the public. And report to the public's elected representatives. They may act like they are a kingdom unto themselves but that's only because we and our elected representatives let it happen.

If this individual or anyone else feels like they are in legal jeopardy the right thing to do is take a leave of absence and lawyer up. If necessary the public officials that they report to should help them understand this. Sometimes it is the coverup or lies to investigators that lead to legal jeopardy.

Btw some articles are starting to appear from journalists and others who have had prior dealings with the Uvalde Police Department and Uvalde CISD Police. Looks like they have had problems for a long time.

The people of Uvalde deserve to know what happened. Including what is on the surveillance video and radio transmissions. They should be able to hear and see these things for themselves.

my issue with saying "we have some messed up people out there. it isn't the gun"

is that y'all aren't for ways to make sure guns don't get put in their hands

these people are buying guns legally.

until it's all happening from illegal guns, i don't give a **** about your slippery slope argument

how long till we find out one of the cops shot and killed a kid in the room too?

i mean, it has to be around the corner with how this is going for those incompetent pussies
