Ferguson....

I saw that video and I felt that was excessive force. Completely different than the Fergueson case.

Yep.

I disagree with the grand jury in that case. That officer should have been indicted in the death of Eric Garner.
All my law enforcement training tells me that the amount of force used was excessive and unnecessary.

Another word for that is "slavery"

good grief

Hmm now these black cops who I am sure are under a lot of stress took this man down without excessive force. They did not kill this white man who had a GUN, was waving it around and hit protestors. Hmmmmm in America white men can wave around guns and threaten law enforcement (Im looking at you crazy ass Rancher Bundy) and not be shot dead. But a kid with a toy gun, guy in Walmart with a pellet gun, Mike Brown walking with a friend, and Garner conducting his business on the block are all murdered. Being black in American smh

Brown walking with a friend? Hmm...thats an accurate depiction of what happened.

What happened to Garner was a joke. That cop should be in jail.

Yup great way to avoid saying that these guys should NOT be dead right now. OK I tried to clean it up but I'll put it in terms that white people want to hear about blacks.....

criminal Mike brown (who was not arrested or put to trail yet mind you) was dangerously walking in the streets with his thug friend after committing robbery. Big bad and threatening Eric Garner was supposedly out on the street selling loose cigs to people.

So is that good enough for ya folks *rme*. The fact remains that they are DEAD. Whatever crime they committed does not give the police justification to murder them. These guys should be alive today. The police were wrong!!!

Putting an offices life in danger does justify the use of a weapon. Obviously, the cop in the Garner case didn't not have his life in danger and should be indicted.

You are doing a great deservice to Garner by lumping him with Brown.

Listen TheThe I do not think Mike Brown was a good guy. I would want to beat his ass if he stole something from my hard working family. I think many protestors agree that if Mike Brown committed a criminal act he should be arrested and convicted in a court of law. What I do not agree with is a police officer 1) Telling young black men to "Get the F out of the street" 2) Then later on taking out his gun after the alleged fight and shooting excessively in a heavily populated area.

If police officers especially those who are white want respect then they must try to avoid talking to young black men (or anyone) in any old way. Cursing at them fosters the sense of mistrust. Great cops know how to approach a suspect without being rude or demeaning. This is only one of the reasons why there is so much mistrust and tension in that community. We want young black men to feel safe and respected by the police force. That the police are their protectors. After all these black people are paying their salaries. This is why people have been screaming that black lives do not matter. There is a sense amongst some in the black community that some white cops think that they are animals and not worth living.

I just do not feel that it was right to shoot so many times in a crowded neighborhood at a gunless man or to even try to kill Brown while he was fleeing the scene. Hey I get it that supposedly if Brown was trying to reach for Wilsons gun the officer was trying to stop him by reaching for his own weapon. But when Brown started running away the officer should have just let him go without shooting at him. Brown did not have a gun. It is not like he was going to turn around and get into a shoot out with Wilson. At that point when Brown was fleeing Wilson should have called/waited for backup so that Brown could be taken in alive. Then at the precinct use various ways that wont leave a mark on him to kick his ass. LOL guess that's why Im not a cop. But I've heard this is how its done in NJ......but you all did not hear it from me lol.

What happens if an innocent bystander was shot/killed by one of Wilson's stray bullets that went into the side of a building instead? When Brown was fleeing he was no longer a threat to Wilson. There was no need to turn Ferguson into the wild wild west. Shooting him that many times which resulted in Browns death was not the answer. It ultimately cost Wilson his job and ended a life (Brown). I just hate that good, hard working white (and even minority) cops who respectfully work with their communities are now being looked at as corrupt.
