Murph3 here. Earlier mention about Clevenger and Lindor rumor. Would you do the following after considering all factors in play? Indians get Swanson, Ozuna, Flowers and Waters. Braves get back Lindor, Clevenger and Plesac. Indians desperate for offense, Braves desperate for pitching. Dont know all the ramifications of Clev and Plesac violations in the clubhouse. Lindor 1 more year. Money owed by Indians to the 3 equals $8.7M. Swanson 2 more years control. Shewmake in the wings. Flowers and Ozuna big upgrades offensively for what Indians now have. Waters a key part.

If possible, I'd think hard on that.

I think we would be selling high on Swanson. Lindor is another level. I assume the Braves wouldn't even offer the 300-400 million lindor will ask for.

I think Conteras could step in for Flowers easily.

We would probably need to do a separate deal to get a bat to replace Ozuna. I'm still on the Peralta wagon.

Don't think it's possible though. Seems light on the return for the Tribe.

I think AA just does enough to make the fanbase think he's after the big names. Maybe he makes other teams think he's interested in big names to get a better deal on a mid level guy.

Eh. I made a semi-serious attempt at realism.

Braves wouldn't add that much payroll or likely trade that many guys. I didn't really account too heavily for contender's premium with Marte. Both he and Seagar are maybe the kind of guys you don't move unless you are getting something nice, but Marte's surplus value isn't really all that great despite how solid a player he is.

All of these dudes have reasonably priced control extending to 2021.

If I actually valued contention in 2020 and didn't consider it a complete crapshoot, I might be willing to go down this path. Harsh prospect cost, but ultimately very reasonable.

Dansby is down to two years of control and getting more expensive and no signs of an extension in sight. And it's still not clear whether he's ever going to be a star.

Braves have basically no PA vs LHP, but man their numbers vs lefties are bad. Dansby is at a 17 wRC+, I think,.

I have a feeling the Braves are being used as a shill. Leak the Braves are interested as it's known we need pitching and have the prospects just to drive the price up.

Interested to see what Cleveland gets back. IMO, with them being willing to move him now, I think there is something wrong. Not necessarily health but maybe something like an alcohol problem or attitude issue. I think buyer beware.
