GDT 7/13/22: Braves vs Mets - Lefties and Defense

Can’t even be mad at Duvall anymore because he’s so bad…Just gotta be happy when he occasionally runs into one…Which will probably be at least 3 more times this season.

Who knows how different the outcome might be had snit just stuck with the platoon. Maybe ozuna is 0-2 also, but maybe not

This team does look tired. I've not seen them miss so many balls on a tee all year. All Star break can't come soon enough.

Braves face anibal Sanchez tomorrow. There's no reason to not give Swanson a day off. I'm sure we'll see Corbin this weekend, give Harris a day

I have a feeling this is the inning the Braves need to get something going. Platoon advantage for the first 2 hitters, then Acuna for a 3rd time.

Watching this series, the Braves are significantly better than the Mets. The Mets insanely lucky start and the Braves very slow start is the only reason the Mets are in it. This is not a very good team.

I don't know if I've ever seen a pitcher pitch a worse 5 inning shutout than Bassitt. Dude has thrown a massive amount of hittable pitches and gotten some wild BABIP luck.

Mets have made Harris look like an AA guy

I still think this 800 OPS guy he's been is not real. At least not at this age.

I expect him to be closer to the 700 OPS guy most of the projections have for him. Seeing his approach and what he's banked, I think 750 is reasonable. But I don't expect an impact bat at 21 with a limited number of professional at bats. With COVID disruption he might have the least amount of professional at bats before the big leagues ever...unless someone went straight to MLB.
