Why wouldn't Cleveland just hold Clevinger for another couple of months and move him in the offseason if they are willing to take a Waters headline type deal? It just doesn't make sense for them unless they can flip what they get from Atlanta for what they need now. They aren't going to plug Waters and/or a Contreras into a hoped for WS run.
The Gallo thing makes a little sense for them. But that makes about as much sense as the Braves sending Cleveland Ozuna while trading for Gallo.
I just don't see it. BUT, if Cleveland is willing to move Clev for something that doesn't help them now, then buyer beware. Something's up.
