Why not just keep Walden?

@DOBrienAJC #Braves Hart on Grilli: "We like the makeup, attitude & intangibles as well as adding to an already deep pen." Said building around Kimbrel
David O'Brien
@DOBrienAJC #Braves Hart said they hope to build around Kimbrel in bullpen for the next 10 years.
This is not even remotely comparable to the masterwork the Cubs have executed. They sign/acquire young, high-risk/high-reward propositions and pawn them off when their value is at its precipice.
Yeah you dont like Fredi, water is wet.
Building around Kimbrel is so dumb.
I don't know why you're asking this question, but it sounds a lot like the "bitching" you were making an issue.
I guess some things never change...
It is different, but to say not remotely comparable isn't correct.
I was mostly just comparing it to collecting assets and selling them. If he's pitching well come July then there will be.a market for him.
Building around Kimbrel is so dumb.
How so?
Good, especially that last statement! FO should have learned their lessons from the 90s. The Yanks had Mo, we had a revolving door...case closed. If Braves had a Mo, Kimbrel, or Smoltz closing games in the 90s I'll bet my life that we have at least 1 more World Series trophy, and more likely 2-3 more.
Don't understand the logic of trading one of the potential all time greats.
Hart knows first hand, as the World Series trophy was literally taken out of John Hart's hands by the one and the only Jose Mesa.
How is building your bullpen around the best closer in the league "dumb"???
Yeah the Tigers probably have a WS in the last 2-3 years if they had Kimbrel or an elite closer.
I've bitched about alot of their moves lately
Yeah the Tigers probably have a WS in the last 2-3 years if they had Kimbrel or an elite closer.
It's only dumb if you don't have anything leading up to him. Braves are a mess with their position players and they need to be building around Freeman.
