7/8 GDT: Atlanta Braves (41-44) vs. Washington Nationals (51-35)

We've pretty much always owned Stras for the most part for some reason (outside of a few starts here or there where he blanks us), Gio too. Just one of those weird but nice quirks.

7/8 GDT: Atlanta Braves (41-44) vs. Washington Nationals (51-35)

Hah, I almost posted the same thing. If GF hadn't posted recently I would think he came back as an alter based on this thread.

Agreed. And yeah, no way the Astros are giving up Tucker period I don't think, much less him and Marte in that deal.

WEDNESDAY MINORS THREAD 7/5: Medlen Earns Win

Oh good grief, why are people still clinging to this idea that we needed Lewis to sign way below slot in order to sign Wentz and Muller? We could have signed Lewis for the almost 5 mil Pint signed for, and still afforded Wentz+Muller simply by selecting a low value college senior instead of...

7/5 GDT: Houston Astros (57-27) vs. Atlanta Braves (40-42); Dansby's Day Off Edition

If Keuchel and McCullers can stay healthy they are going to be extremely tough. If they make a trade for someone like Archer or another good #2/#3 starter type they are going to steamroll people with this lineup.

7/5 GDT: Houston Astros (57-27) vs. Atlanta Braves (40-42); Dansby's Day Off Edition

Hopefully not as many opposing team fans filling the stadium these days as there were then, I can remember going to see us in the mid 80s and the stadium being filled will Mets fans when they had Strawberry and Gooden. At least we are extremely close to being a borderline playoff team now...

    Matt wisler

Lol. You responded to my post about Enscheff being 100% accurate about Julio having twice the value he has this year by saying: "How is a mythical package of prospects that we have no idea was offered "100% accurate"? " That is why I said you have reading comprehension problems, and you are...

    Matt wisler

Apparently you and Tapate50 have reading comprehension problems, the part that was 100% accurate was Enscheff saying Julio was twice as valuable then as he is now. The rest of my post was logical conjecture. If anything Enscheff was underselling things, as Julio has almost zero value right...

Yet still 100% accurate. But if you are looking for specifics, Pomeranz was traded to the Red Sox last year for Anderson Espinoza, and I think we can all agree that Julio was more valuable than Pomeranz at the time. So I think we could have easily gotten something like Espinoza and Kopech for...

6/30 GDT: Atlanta Braves (37-41) vs. Oakland Athletics (35-44)

It might have a tiny bit, but Kemp has been struggling to drive in runs all year long. I'd actually say Kemp's inability to hit with runners on base is one of the reasons that despite being in the top 7-8 of both OBP and BA for the first two months of the season we were only in the 15-17th in...

Braves Acquire Matt Adams From Cardinals

Hah, I'm not saying I think Freeman was a capable 3B and/or I think he's going to make it there now. I think this experiment will fail miserably, but I see no real reason to care all that much about it in a lost season either. I'm just saying the Braves had reasons to move him to 1B beyond just...

Braves Acquire Matt Adams From Cardinals

There was this dude named Chipper Jones, you may have heard of him. And 1B was kinda black hole for the Braves from the moment LaRoche was traded on (outside of our year of Tex).

THURSDAY MINORS FINAL 6/29: Muller Coming, Fried Goinjg

Nah, he's clearly about to become the next Chapman, just a matter of time. And yep, movement is what's important, not speed. At least as long as you are 92ish or better.

6/27 GDT: Atlanta Braves (36-39) vs. San Diego Padres (31-45)

Not to mention barely any strikes called outside the zone for Newk. Looks like 4-5 max.

TUESDAY MINORS FINAL 6/27: Dawning of the Age of Maitan

I said everyone had him as a mid rotation, not 1/2 (though that will likely change after this season given his season this year, and for the reasons Enscheff explained). My issue was with you saying people had him as a back of the rotation, which isn't true. But anyway, before this season...

TUESDAY MINORS FINAL 6/27: Dawning of the Age of Maitan

Not sure what scouting reports you've been looking at, pretty much everyone has had Soroka as at least a middle of the rotation/#3 starter type for a while now.

TUESDAY MINORS FINAL 6/27: Dawning of the Age of Maitan

From that same chat today from Longenhagen about Pache: Buff 12:22 Shed Long, Bryan Reynolds, and Christian Pache all got consideration for you preseason top 100. Add Taylor Trammell to that list. Top 100 by now? Who looks best? Eric A Longenhagen 12:23 Pache probably has the highest...

    Official 2017 Trade Deadilne Thread

As long as Cueto has an ERA above or around 4 he's not going to be opting out of anything. He wouldn't get anywhere close to his current contract the way he's pitching.

    Official 2017 Trade Deadilne Thread

Yep, pretty much this. And not sure why the heck people are talking about Gray like he's an Ace anyway, he's fallen off big time and only has 2 years of control after this one, and even before that he was basically just Julio before he dropped off.
